Singles

I understand how it is crying for someone who died.  But to cry for someone who's still alive is somewhat different yet equally hurts to the same degree.

I weep for the loss and I carry with me all the fond memories.  Always remember that I love you no matter what.

Eat It Too

It's A Piece of Cake!

It's funny how when you're not really looking for something, they seem to come out of nowhere and when you want something so bad, you go blind to everything.  Like when you look at this cake, you wouldn't know what's in it unless you pry it open and take a bite out of it.  You wouldn't know that there are 3 other cakes beside it, one yellow and shaped like a coin purse, another off-white and rectangular and sprinkled with dark brown dust, and the last one like a slice of the earth's crust, layered and with stringy decorations on top.  You wouldn't know that this is a birthday cake and that before it had been served, the staff at the bakeshop played a typical birthday song one can find in a generic record store.  You wouldn't know that the person who blew the candle was pleasantly surprised at the cheesy gesture and that he truly, madly, deeply appreciated having a birthday surprise for the first time in his life.

You wouldn't know that before that night, the flames had already been blown away gently.

Tit for Tat

"Lots and lots of lovely ceilings!"
-Elizabeth Ashley in the movie Carpetbaggers (1964) when asked what she would like to see on her honeymoon.

I apologize for having disturbed your peace.  It's just that I kinda miss that part of my life when everything felt wrong but for the right reasons.  I miss being able to capture the moments and write about them.  I miss the passion to create.

Most of all, I miss my friends.  Technology makes everything conveniently lose empathy.
